Options for man door seal
If this is not the correct place for this post, please forgive and let me know where to post it.
Late this past fall, the threshold for the man door from my garage to the back yard completely gave out. Well, at least the wooden components. Because of circumstances beyond my control, I couldn’t repair it before winter set in, and now I have a large gap below the door, letting in cold air. Low temps are subzero most nights and highs are in the 20s most days. I have arthritis in my hands, so working in the cold is . As I will be replacing the threshold in the spring/warmer weather, what can I do to seal the door until then? I’d like to be able to open the door, if possible, but that isn’t a deal breaker.

Use liquid nails to glue a 2x4 (or anything that is close to the right height) down under the door, put shims between it and the bottom of the closed door to hold it down tight while the glue dries. Then get a slip on door bottom, and put it on the door temporarily.
