Jams for metal door

Generally when I hang wood doors I measure up and install the jams then hang the door. I make final adjustments to the door with a hand planer if it's sticking anywhere.

I need to hang a metal entrance door for a garage but wondering how to do it since the metal can't be adjusted after by planing if it's rubbing anywhere.

Is it a prehung? if so, you'd shim it so it fits right. If this a slab door you need to adjust the jamb so it fits properly.

It's a slab. So do I put in the top jamb and one side jamb with hinges first, then install the final jamb after and adjust?

Install the hinge jamb and hang the door. Adjust the head jamb and latch jamb to fit the door.
