Locking handle to casement window broken; is this fixable?
Below is the photo.
To begin with, it is broken? The inner edge of the handle is so symmetrical and clean that it's hard to think it's broken off from the rest of the mechanism.
If it's broken, can it be fixed by superglue or something?
If I have to replace the entire locking mechanism, is it complicated?
Painters sometimes take them off and don't get them clipped back in properly. My guess is it will snap back in place if you can figure out how it goes back on. Open the window and look how it connects when you stick it in horizontally. It looks to me like it is an Encore lever lock.

Hi all,
I live in an apartment complex that uses sliding windows that slide horizontally. We had problems two years ago with our indoor humidity spiking to 70% when it rained outside. We talked to management and they just gave us a dehumidifier.
With the cold this winter we have used a little phone FLIR to figure out that the windows are leaking on the vertical edges. I'm immunocompromised so we are uncomfortable having maintenance in to do anything major, but are there any quick fix stopgaps I can do to hold us for a while? We want to still be able to open the windows in case of emergency.
Thanks!
