HI, I am looking for a type of pin that was used to fasten removable wooden lattice inserts to a window frame. (From 1977) They may be called Window Grid Retainer Pins. I have been unable to find any. They are approx. 15/16" long. These are the best images I have at the moment.
I have put a considerable effort into finding these with no luck and am afraid this is my last recourse to find some. Thanks.
Hello,
I have a sliding patio door with between-the-glass blinds. It came with the house and the date code on the door is April 2012. It came with the house that we purchased in 2013.
One of the cords is frayed and preventing the blinds from dropping. This seems like it could be an easy fix, but I emailed Pella with the door serial number and a regional rep emailed back saying it would be around $1,500 to replace the whole vent panel.
Is there really nothing that can be done?
I am seeing that similar entire frame and doors in 72x80 are around $2,000 to replace (guessing without labor, etc).
Some product info I found says the ThermaStar has limited lifetime warranty but I'm told the warranty on the blinds was only 5 years and the door is 10 years, so I'm not sure what part is actually lifetime.
If it is possible to disassemble to do blind repair, I'm interested.

Hoping some of the expertise in this forum can help me with an issue I'm having with my old VELUX skylight that came with the house. It is a KES 310 System that has a control pad and two boxes.
When trying to open, it might make it halfway and then it closes automatically. I was hoping it was the two boxes, and one maybe had an issue, so I've been on the lookout for a replacement which I recently came across on eBay. I swapped the boxes, and I'm still having the issue so not the boxes but happy to have backups now if I can solve this otherwise. I don't think it's the rain sensor as I removed that connection from one of the boxes and the issue still occurs.
Now wondering if it might be the control pad mounted on the wall and perhaps the electronics got borked somehow, from a power surge maybe.
So if it could be the control pad, are there any recommendations for a new pad that I can pick up, even something I could control wirelessly, as finding one that looks like this old guy doesn't look easy after some brief searching.
Any help is appreciated.
