The window on the right has been fine with me, "why be normal". However the sash cord mechanism is broken. I'd rather finally replace the window to match the one on the left than fix it. I've read that window replacement should be done by a licensed bonded contractor and you need a warranty for parts and labor. I'm sure that's good advice for a bigger window project, but should I need something like that for this "simple" replacement?
