Question

I BOUGHT A HOUSE ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO AND NOTICED THAT THE TRACK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SLIDING PATIO DOOR IS STARTING TO GET A GOUGE OR DEEP GROOVE IN IT FROM NOT BEING ADJUSTED CORRECTY. I'VE ADJUSTED THE WHEELS AS FAR OUT AS THEY WOULD GO BUT THE TRACK IS GROOVED TO BAD. SO MY QUESTION IS, DO I HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FRAME OR CAN YOU BUY JUST THE TRACKING. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

Find a glass shop that uses CRL which is the largest distributor for Glazier supplies in North America. The shop that does will have a catalogue nicknamed "Big Red" which has many replacement tracks including original, universal and a stainless cover which may solve your problem and save a ton of work. Since you will need to pull the doors to repair or replace the track, it might be a good idea to swap the wheels out at the same time if they are showing signs of wear. Unless the glass company stocks the stainless cover, your request may be considered a Pain by some so you may need to call around a bit to find a shop which is helpful.
