I purchased a Pre-Hung Steel Door for the side of my house a year ago. Now it has slight surface rust pots on the outside part of the door. I was just thinking of sanding down the rusty spots with a sheet of fine sandpaper then applying a coat of Rustoleum off white primer from a spray can then finally applying a decent coat of white Rustoleum paint to the door by way of the spray can also. I would like to know if this sounds like the correct way about going with this paint job. If I forgot any important points in my process, anyone please feel free to let me know, what it was. Thanks.

Cool

Sounds o.k. to me.
Just wipe off the sanding.
Good Luck!
