installing a french door

I want to replace a 30 inch 6 panel door with a 30 in. french door. these doors I want to replace are both interior doors one in the dining room the other in the foyer.. it looks like all I would need to do is take the old doors of the hings and put the new ones on.as you can tell I'm new to this and need a little help. thanks

Define what you mean when you say "French Door".
French doors are a set of two doors that can both be opened, though one is used as the primary door.
From what you posted, I think you might be referring to using a single 30" door with 9, 12, or maybe 15 lites in place of your 6 panel door. If that is the case, you can get it either pre-hung, or just the door itself. Pre-hung will install much faster, without having to go through mortising the hinges, boring the lockset, etc.
