Storm Window Problem
#1
Hi,
We recently bought a 1960's house with wooden double hung windows and 3-track storm windows. I noticed that one of the storm windows only has ONE glass pane plus the screen. (Rather than two panes of glass plus a screen) I either need to get an additional piece of glass or replace the whole storm window. Does anybody know if replacement panes are available for storm windows (I need the aluminum frame with clips and glass). I am in south central PA. I have had no luck at Home Depot, Lowes and my local True Value hardware store... Any ideas of where to start looking??? Thanks
Eric

Eric,
It will be easier for you to order a complete window. HD sells inexpensive brands. Though it is possible for a Glass company to replicate one, it will be tough to find someone who stocks matching parts as there are many storm window manufacuters. It would probably cost as much to fabricate one panel as it would to purchase an entire unit for the window.
