"Blinds-between-windows"

We are building a new home which will have several exterior French doors. We are considering the "blinds between the windows" type & are wondering if anyone has any comments on these, pro or con. Our biggest concern is what happens if you have a problem with your blind that is in between two glass panes? Also does anyone know the approx. add'l cost for the "blinds" ? Thanks.

The blinds in between the glass are not in sealed insulating glass units, they are in between a single glass and a removable interior glass panel. Pella is one example of this system.

I just had a bid from Pella for those blinds that almost made me sick. But it was my understanding that they were Low-E and Argon sealed. Is that wrong, or is that something different?
