I need to know how to stretch a prehung patio door 4 and a half inch wall to meet the 7 inch wall it is being installed in.

If your door has wood or vinyl jambs, the dealer should be able to order jamb extenders to match. If aluminum, sheetrock can be applied to fill bare wood.

New Storm Door

I am replacing an exsisting storm door and although I never thought much about it, does the inside door always open from the opposite side of the storm door? After noticing this I began to notice the same thing at other peoples houses and am wondering why this is? Th handle on my storm door is on the right side of the door while the knob of the inside door is on the left side of the door.Read More

Brick Molding

Hello...I am installing a window in a brick wall. I have the rough opening on the interior, and I've opened the brick to the right dimensions to allow for the brick molding. My house has brick veneer over the original wood sheathing. There is approximately a 1.5 inch gap between the sheathing and the brick (I'm assuming for proper ventilation). But that's my problem. The brick molding is only one inch wide. So if I place the window in the opening, the brick molding doesn't even come flush with the brick (there is still a .5 inch gap between the molding and the brick). This obviously leaves my whole brick wall open. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Should I perhaps not have gone with the brick molding?
