Talking replacing a window

I am going to be replacing a window. The old window is a wooden one with the sloping angle on the outside. Can I use a regular window and build some type of sill. Any instruction would be greatly apprerciated.

Lightbulb Sill is part of the old window

New windows don't use sills anymore, nor are they needed in most cases.

Hello, If you are using a retro fit window the sill will stay. Home Depot offers a class on installing windows for free. It is well worth the time. Check it out.
