replacement windows
Anyone in the Boston area know anything about Champion Windows or Newpro? or the windows that Sears uses? I am calling around to get estimates to replace old wood windows (approx. 30x60) with vinyl, and wanted some advice.

Call a local contractor
To do the work, do use one of those "window companies" they are more about paying a salesman a fat comission than giving you a fair price.
Use a reputable remodeling contractor in your area, you will get better work for a fair price ..

Have to agree.....because I am such a small contractor and my normal price for a good vinyl window installed completely ( w/trim coil on the outside wood moulding) is about $250. The window companies like Champion and Sears run twice that IF they don't have to compete.
