Cornices

I plan to make a couple simple cornices for the spare bedroom, but I can't find any hardware to hang them. Is there such a thing? They will go to the ceiling.
Thanks

i've always used metal "L" brackets. it's literally a piece of metal, maybe 1/2" wide, bent in the middle at a right angle so it looks like an "L", with holes in each end. they come in different sizes so get them in a large enough size to firmly hold your cornices. any hardware store will have them.

mount them to the wall first (if you don't hit a stud, you'll need to use drywall anchors), then set your cornice on them, then screw up thru the bracket into the cornice.

that's easier than screwing the bracket to the cornice first, then having to hold the cornice up while you screw into the wall.
