Closing off vent

I am currently in the process of remodeling a bathroom and am going to have to remove one of the "take offs" for my forced air heating (it would be under the new tub). My question is how should I seal opening in the trunk line?

Most of the time we make a patch about a 1-1/2" over size all around. Turn a 1/2" hem edge on it all around. Just screw it on and tape all the edges. With the good aluminum tape not duct tape. ED

Are you removing a run to the bathroom? You place it into another area so you have heat or a/c to that room?
