duct cleaning

Is there any real value in having a commercial company come in and clean your ductwork if you live in an old house (75 yrs)? My neighbor works for a heating/cooling company that provides this service, and she had this done recently. She said the technicians hauled away huge garbage bags full of debris.

I have also heard that having this done achieves very little in terms of air quality.

Just curious.

Wink

Most of it is just a sales pitch. Just keep the filter clean, get a new one every 30 to 90 days and you will be ok .
