insulation/air ducts

i moved into a new home and i noticed that the air ducts coming from the attic down, most of em are filled with insulation inside which is preventing air flow. is that suppose to be like that or do i need to get it removed from there. thx

Id call the builder right now on a new home and tell him. Yes get it out of there also be sure and check the filter.
Might want the hvac guy to take a look at it also, so all the ducts there are sealed right.

Its a lot in where did it come from are how did it get in there.

Now that makes a lot of differents here. That is just the AC duct work registers that are there.Ill bet they put that insulation in there each year when they go over to heat. If you dont water will drip out of them in the winter time . So save it and besure and put it all back come winter. just take the registers off and put them back.
