Right angle Duct

When the plumber installed the duct for a new furnace, he came off of the plenum, in the attic, at a 90 degree for 2 feet to the main trunk and then another 90 degree turn. Both of these are square corners and not rounded. How much will this restrict the air flow? Would it be a problem?

it may work, but may not get the best air flow since air don't like rough sharp turns.

I had central AC put in a few years ago with flex duct work, (I think). The two vents in the front outside wall send cold air during the winter when the ac is off. The AC is not part of the heat system. The AC guy told me that I need to put plastic over the main large air intake vent, which I did, but the cold air keeps coming out of the vent and pretty strong too. The ducts are insulated on the outside, I saw them being put in. Any idea whats going on and what to do? ThanksRead More
