Why is it that all reputable HVAC companies in our area use Alumaflex ducts (by Noll Manufacturing) if it is garbage?

Maybe I should rephrase my question: Why is Alumaflex duct garbage? does it leak air out or what?

flex duct is bad for airflow. it is put in for one reason. CHEAP. i install it by the pallet. 5' max around here.

round metal hard pipe is the best.

Agreed. I think it should be made illegal, especially when it is used for a dryer vent.

Flex duct collects dust, debris and restricts air flow.
