First, turn the furnace and fan off at the thermostat, then flip the emergency switch to off.

The front face has two panels. The top panel has a handle on it. Pull the handle straight up until the top panel moves up about half an inch (you don't have to take the top panel out). Then slide your finger in the crease on the bottom of the bottom panel and pull that one straight up and then out.

The filter should be on the left side of the blower. It's typically held in with a metal loop which can be moved by pushing it in until it clears the side.

Unfortunately they didn't make enough room on the right side to fit in a filter so for those of us who have a right-side return we have our filters externally.

Hope that helps,
John
