8in round duct

Im installing about 15ft of 8in round duct from the main supply line and running it to a diffuser in the wall. Should i just screw drive to the side of the duct and scrw it to the floor joist to hang it, or do they make hangers for this application? Also...when going from round duct to the square diffuser do I just buy a round to square box from depot and cut each corner and fold over a 1/4 so that I have something to drill the differs to? Any help is appreciated....thanks.

You can use plumbers tape or wire to support the duct between the joists. Yes they make a transition from round to rectangular to go from duct to register.
