Room under the attic is hotter
We just rented a 1400 Sq feet house. Landlord lives in the basement and he likes to keep the attic fan running 24 hours a day. Attic is just above our master bedroom and that room is always hotter (much hotter) than the rest of the house. Not only that, ladlord's bedroom is under ours and even that is hotter than the rest of his living space.
Recently we changed the air duct filter which was seriously clogged. Changing the filter solved the problem for a day or two but now the room started to get hotter, again. We thought (when we saw the clogged filter)that the fan had to work harder to circulate the air and the motor is heating up but the problem comes back again.
Is it because fan is working non stop and heating up the whole attic ,hence radiating heat in our bedroom ? But than why the bedroom below ours?
Thanks in advance

When you are talking about Attic fan, you mean the fan to keep the attic cool? Or do you mean a furnace/air handler in the attic for the home?
If the filter was pretty clogged up, chances are it may be plugged again since there is more air movement, and moved the dust/dirt that has seattled in the ductwork.
Air filter should be changed every 30 to 60 days.
