Heater Coil Upgrade w/ new Furnace and AC Unit

Hi All,

My AC and furnace are both about 28 years old, the good part is my home warranty has covered them to both be replaced!

The HVAC contractor is charging me the following upgrades that are not covered by warranty:

Plenium - $250
Gas Flex - $50
Vent pipe - $100

I have no issue with paying for the upgrades, after all it beats paying full price for the whole system. They have suggested that I replace the heater coil while they are installing the new furnace. They said the part itself is cheap, but they are getting back to me on how much to actually install it.

With the furnace being replaced, what should I expect to pay to have the heater coil replaced at the same time?

Thanks in advance.

What part exactly is this they suggested to install? Are you speaking of an A/C evaporator coil?

All of these are not upgardes they are standard with any install. Think you need to find another company.
