Noisy bathroom fan's motor

Hello,

My bathroom fan's motor vibrates. Every time I turn on the fan, it would vibrate quite loud. I removed the cover and if I touch the motor it doesn't vibrate.

Any suggestions on how to fix it is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Vibration is usually caused by an off-balance fan. Remove the fan/motor assembly (usually one screw and a plug-in wiring connection) and thoroughly clean the fan blades or wheel along with the motor. Reinstall and check it out. Most bathroom fans are cheaply made with mediocre components and total replacement with a high-end exhaust fan may be a better choice if low noise is your desired end result.

Also push on the screw or screws holding fan to housing--make sure they are tight............
