Question can i use top of plenum?

hi folks, i'm kib...
i'm glad to be aboard and appreciate any help from the pros. my question is; my wife wants a 10'x20' office in the garage. can i use the very top of the plenum to connect flex duct? it's the only place on the plenum with enough space to comfortably cut a 6" or 8" hole. the plenum is in the attic and i am in fl. if that helps thx! kib

Remember also...if the garage will still be used as a garage, you will probably have fire codes you'll need to deal with. Even more so if the office is attached to the living area of the house.
