Blower fan in squirrel cage- York

I am having difficulty ordering a replacement part for my York Model P2MPD20N08001C. I took the broken fan to the wholesale distributor, matched the dimensions but the blades are facing the opposite way. Comparing the original part to the cage I cant make sens of the physics that would make this work. The air flow was ok when working but not the best.
Does anyone have a manual or official York document that will prove the right rotation/blade direction/air flow?
Will any air flow be present if everything is backwards?
Is this design suppose to draw air in through the center and push it through the blades?
In the picture the fan and cage are oriented in the same way it was found.

If you have the verified part associated with the model number and in the DFW area, I would like to purchase.
