Bathroom Exhast fan vent

I just replaced 2 new exhaust fans in both bathrooms and was asking around about venting the exhaust!!!
I was told I don't need vent piping to exit the house because I have a vented peak on top of the house, is this correct?

It is not.

You do not want that moisture being dumped into your attic.
