one return air in ceiling, the rest on floor

Hey guys I need your professional advice... I'm doing some home improvement on my home and moved an interior wall that had a return air on the floor, but due the structure and where I move the new wall there is a beam in the way and the only way to keep the return air for that room is to put it over the beam into the ceiling.... My question is, is it ok to put the one return air vent on the ceiling in that room? Thanks for your help

Welcome to the forums.

Is this return for just A/C or heat and A/C ?

Shouldn't make a big difference. Make sure you don't make it smaller.

Hey guys thanks for the reply, it's for both heat and cold air... I will make sure to make it the same size it was before when it was on the wall....
