Some help with installing in-line duct fan booster?

I have a 6 inch duct going to room on far side of house and it is 10 degrees hotter due to poor air flow. I have never done this before lol. Should I get the 6 inch booster for 6 inch pipe or will I have some kind of issue with size? I also feel like this fan would have a better chance at working then the register booster that hast two small 120mm fans that you plug in to wall. Have to figure something out or I might loose my roommate.

For a 6" duct you'd use a 6" fan. However those fans aren't always that effective. There could possibly be a damper in that line isn't immediately visible.

You'd need a way to automatically activate it too.

Don't see any damper in it.

I bought the suncourt ductstat which has great reviews but it seems like a crap design. It shows that you drill a hole on side of duct and put ducstat over it. Looks like air will leak out from where you line up the holes.
