Air circulation unit in shop ?

I have what looks like a fresh air circulation system in a shop there is a duct going down from the unit and one going outside I followed wires from it leading to the main heat exchanger unit where they were disconnected. I touched them together and the unit did not turn on is there something wrong with it. Does it even do anything? I will post pics of it and give more info.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums!

Have you put a meter on the wires to see if they are live? Can you follow the wires back to the breaker box? pics could prove helpful - http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html

I will take pictures later of my unit to show what it looks like. I will test the 18awg wire coming from the unit. Unless im supposed to test the 120VAC line.

If the unit isn't hooked up testing it won't tell you if there is power, you need to find out if the supply wire is hot.

The supply is hot. There is a transformer attached to the supply switch. I will try to get a picture of that and post later.
