Whole house fan in sloped ceiling
I want to install a whole house fan upstairs but there is only a sloped ceiling in the hallway. I've heard you shouldn't put one here because the loovers wont shut properly, what are my options?

If the hallway ceiling is sloped.... is it because it parallels the roof ?
If yes.... how much room is between the ceiling and the roof sheathing above it ?

How much is it sloped? Can you mount the fan level a little above ceiling level and then box in the opening down to the ceiling? Similar to what would be done for a skylight.

So two ways to go. You can mount the fan level on the attic floor and box in an opening down to your sloped ceiling. The fan would be level, so no issue with it closing.
Or you can use a ducted whole house fan, such as this one: https://www.wholehousefan.com/quiet-cool-2250-classic/
The inlet for that style can be mounted at any angle, even vertically.
