Dryer vent ducting
Our clothes dryer vent is right next to a heat pump. Lint clogging our old heat pump was a serious problem. When we replaced the heat pump I put a diverter over the dryer opening to deflect the air and lint sideways. Now it is messing up the siding. I can't point it down as it will put moisture under the house as there is a foundation vent nearby. I'd like to put a pipe at ground level out past the heat pump. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Use hard medal duct pipe and put it anyplace. Do not use tomany 90's as they will restrict air flow from dryer. Pipe willl be ugly is only problem.

Looks like it was messing up the siding before.
Maybe try this kind. https://www.amazon.com/HEARTLAND-21000-Energy-Saving-Closure/dp/B00009W3I4/ref=asc_df_B00009W3I4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198100801330&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15650948980961593485&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9024868&hvtargid=aud-801381245258la-318599266990&psc=1
You should be cleaning your lint filter before every load. If it's not catching most of the lint I'd say the dryer has a problem. Plus clean your siding as needed. After you get it clean, Pledge furniture polish and other similar products work well to keep the siding slick and new looking by waxing the surface.
The sideways hood is a great way to invite mice in. I doubt it ever closes fully.

Dryer repairman and you will not be able to keep lint out duct. Ant mesh fine enough to keep trap lint will restrict air flow.

I couldn't get the link to open earlier so wasn't sure, but yes, the one that Sleeper linked is exactly what I would try. I don't have one myself because I've never had any issues with the conventional one we've had for years, but have installed this style when I've replaced ducts for others and think they're the cat's pajamas. If you do go with a metal duct though, I think I would run it inside a slightly over size PVC for added protection.

Interesting idea of using PVC pipe as protection for the metal duct. I could use 2 - 45 degree elbows to get it close to ground level. I would need some sort of termination/damper, something like this?
