....no spin after wash cycle
#1

We have an older (?) Kenmore washer with what appears to be Inglis innards. It does everything else it's supposed to do except spin after the wash cycle.
It fills, agitates, empties and then total silence except for the four or five sprays of water that's supposed to be hitting spinning clothes!
Once it refills for the rinse cycle, things appear to be normal including the final spin.

It will go through the entire wash / rinse cycle on it's own without any fooling with the timer.
Fill,wash,empty,(NO SPIN),refill,rinse,empty, and spin.
As I mentioned in the first post, when it should be spinning after the wash cycle, it still does the rinse spray thing a number of times as if it was spinning

It was the timer. A successful transplant was carried out except that the replacement timer didn't offer the same cycles as the old one so I would have had to change the front panel but it wouldn't fit the console which didn't fit and so on and so on....
Long story short: as long as you don't find the spectre of a white washing machine with a harvest gold top, lid, and console too disturbing, it all came out fine.
Thanks for your help.
