Lightbulb White Westinghouse Washer Tub Bulb

I have a White-Westinghouse (approx. 20 yrs old) combination washer & dryer model LT250EDW5. I need to replace the washer tub bulb (light) and I can feel the bulb, but I don't know how to get it out to replace it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bulb may not be the type that screws into the socket. May be the type that simply turns a half a turn and pops out. This type has to be pushed inwards slightly than turned. Often the turning rotation is counter clockwise after pushing inwards on the bulb.
