Hi all,
Whirlpool has a belt drive washer and a direct drive washer...ti is important to figure out which you have first...Direct drive has a full back panal, the belt drive washer has a small access panal on the back bottom. For a slow or poor agitation, check the spline inside the top of the agitator first, also the spline on top of the trans shaft ( bad for rusting )...to do these, you will have to remove the agitator, look for a bolt on top of the agitator...remove it and pull up hard - then check the above mentioned parts.
