Question Thermador Oven Door Snapped Cables

To All,

I have a 1985, Thermador built-in combination microwave(top) electric self-cleaning oven bottom. The cable tensioners have snapped on the bottom oven door and I am looking for the best best method for replacing them. I have the cables and trying to figure out how to thread them trough the hinge slots. Do I need to move the oven out of its cabinetry or is there some other method of hooking the cables to the springs.

Thanks

Hi,
On most of the built in's you need to remove the screws securing it to the cabinetry, then pull unit out a little at a time one side more than the other. then you can replace the spring cable tentioner. just don't pull to far out or you will have oven on the floor. to be safe turn off breaker to unit while working on it
