New Whirlpool washer never stops filling with water
What could be the problem? I know there is some kind of pressure or vacuum switch use but how reliable are these switches, I mean you would think they would be extremely reliable or the washer would flood the whole house and you would think that they would make them where, if something went wrong, you would get no water instead of non-stop water. Does this happen often?

Hi Medium,
If this is new a washer check if under warranty.
If not while the washer is filling unplug unit and check if water is still entering , if so you have a faulty water inlet valve.
if still enters turn water off at faucet
try that and post back

The washer is under warranty and the tech is coming out tomorrow. The water will stop if I turn the washer off or put it into a spin cycle, my question is on reliability. I had my entire house flood twice in 2 days first when the toilet tank cracked at night and the very next night the water heater rusted through and flooded the house with hot water. I do not want to go through that nightmare again.
