Okay to replace clothes washer belt?

The drive belt for the tub on our Speed Queen washer got real hot, smoked a bunch, and then broke. It seems like everything is okay with the exception of the belt of course. My question is, should I go ahead and replace the belt? It's about 10 years old. It looks like the clutch for the drum is okay as it turns okay by hand if you spin it. I just don't want to replace it and find out there's another problem but I suppose that might be real obvious anyway?

Thanks,
Biederboat

Wink

I don't know this model, but I'd check each item the belt drives, for free running, - especially if a pump is involved. A jammed pump has been the cause of many belts breaking .
