My refrigerator has run non-stop for the last few days. What could be the problem? What do I need to do?

Running fridge
Sorry to say it could be many things- defrost problems, low on gas, door gaskets bad, fan motors not working, believe it or not I ran into one that the lightbulb in the fresh food section didn't go out when the door shut & the heat from the bulb caused the cold control to stay on making the fridge run longer. Anyhow, check some basic things. Coils on bottom of fridge clean?
Fan in bottom back of fridge by the compressor running? Fan in freezer running? Controls for fresh food & freezer set on normal settings? Light in fresh food section going off when door is closed? There will be a switch located somewhere around the frame of the fridge where the door gasket goes against it. Light should go off when the door is about 1/4 inch from closing. No need to crawl in fridge to check light. Door gaskets sealing all around both doors? If they all check o.k. its time to call the service man.
