washer won't spin in any cycle

I have a Whirlpool Electric Thin Twin washer/dryer model LTE6234DQ2 that will not spin in any of the wash cycles. Water will drain normally and then the cycle stops.I have already replaced the timer. You can hear a faint hum coming from the washer. It must be manually moved to spin to finish the wash. Any hints ???.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob,
- you haven't made it very clear. If you have to manually advance the TIMER to go onto spincycle then there is apparently still a problem with the timer. Are you sure all wires are on the correct terminals ?

Do it Right - Do it once.

washer won't spin

Hi, The timer had a plug in type connector. Can only go on one way.Is there a spin solenoid possibly in the circuit that might be defective??It was a factory timer (Whirlpool) I had replaced it with. Any thoughts??

Thanks, Bob

hi Bob,
- if it goes into 'spin' when you advance the timer, then the spin solenoid is not the problem. As I originally understood the question, the timer is stopping after the 'drain' cycle. Have I got the wrong impression?
If you just leave the timer after the 'drain' cycle, does the timer continue to rotate or not?

Do it Right - Do it once.

You are correct Sir. It stops after the drain cycle on any of the wash settings i.e. normal, delicate, etc..If I leave it after the drain cycle I can just hear a hum from somewhere inside the washer. Can this be a bad timer possibly from Whirlpool I had purchased??

Thanks so much for any help !!!

Bob
