Kenmore freezer not freezing
Hello,
My Kenmore upright freezer 20 cu ft was in the 50 degree range and have no idea what to check or if there is a compressor reset or something I should try before calling a repair tech. Anybody have any ideas?

If the interior light is on and the control is set to a setting other than off, call for repair. How old is the unit? Sears covered our freezer even though it was slightly out of warranty because the problem it had (cooling, but not freezing... similar symptom to yours...) was a known problem with our model.

Hi roads,
- Before paying a big service fee there's one small check you can do.
There should be Temp. control in the base of your freezer near the compressor. Remove it carefully so as not to kink the sensor, mark wires and remove them. Now test for cont. on lowest setting. Should be continuity. Turn to high or off and it should show resistance. If you need a new one take this with you to appliance store
Do it Right - Do it once.
