Maytag washer....will not fill up with water

5 year old Maytag washer...will not fill with water, hot or cold. Getting water to the kitchen sink...washer is located in a room behind the kitchen. Pipes are not frozen, circuit breaker ok. Anyone have any idea??

Not sure how or why you posted this question in Boilers earlier. I answered it there though. Turn off the valves that the hoses hook up to. Dis connect from washer. Hold in a bucket or the washer and turn on. If you get water, then check the inlet screens to be sure they are not clogged. If all is clean then you will have to replace the fill valve. They are not fixable. good luck.

Washer will not fill with water Eddie

Check fuse for lid switch. It is located behind control panel on top of washer. Need to remove just 4 screws and be sure to unplug washer first. It may be the fuse or a broken wire to the fuse link. 2-7-05
