KitchenAid refrigerator - no water flowing to icemaker or dispenser

Water flow has stopped to the icemaker and water dispenser. I unhooked the water line from the solenoid to see if the line was clogged. I ran water through the line but the water was black. After about 10 large cups of water it is now clear again, but water will still not flow to the icemaker or dispenser. I suspect the solenoid is clogged and may need to be replaced, but why is the water "black" from the main line?

It is 1/4" copper tubing from the refrigerator to the shut-off valve recessed in the wall. I haven't crawled under the house but I think it is copper pipe to the main line.

Hi bsexton,
- I'm afraid I can't think of an ideal solution. I would trace this line right to where it hooks on the main and test the water quality there. If good, then replace this line and it's shutoff valve.
