Help with Dryer Overheat problem
I have a Beaumark dryer that is approx 12 years old. It has begun to shut off after 10 minutes on normal cycle. If it is set to Delicate, it will run for as long as necessary. If I remove the venting and just let the air out the back of the dryer, it runs for the full cycle on Normal. I put in all new venting pipe and it still shuts down after 10 minutes. It also gets fairly hot on the top. What can I do?

Hi postie60,
- I'm not familiar with Beaumark, but it sounds a common problem. Possibly a faulty thermostat not turning heater off , or a grounded element. The thermos are usually on the back of the air tunnel, side of heater box, or on top of the drum area at back under lid. As well as checking operation of the thermostats, look for burnt wires, or charred thermostats
Do it Right -Do it once.

hi postie,
- on old style GE the 'high limit' is on top of the heater box at back, other thermos possibly under the lint screen, and possibly on the air tunnel.
