Replacing bearing roller assembly on Maytag dryer

My Maytag dryer (model #SE7800 - stacked washer/dryer) is 13 years old and has begun making a sound as if an airplane was flying overhead. I spoke to the Maytag Rep and a Parts Rep and both seem to think that the problem could be the bearing roller assembly. Do you concur? I have downloaded a diagram of the tumbler for my model dryer from the Maytag website, but I do not know how to access the bearing roller assembly in order to switch it out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Laurel,
- i haven't worked on that model, nor can I find a diagram of it. However, many Maytags have bearing rollers under the rear end of the drum. You will need to remove the drum to get at this.

Do it Right - Do it once.
