dishwasher won't rinse

We have a Kenmore dishwasher that is about 5 years old. The problem is that it won't rinse the dishes very clean. Many times there is a food particles or dishwasher soap left on the dishes, esp. inside the cups. We use a liquid soap with Jet Dry to help with rinsing. This even happends when the dishes are washed completely off before washing. Is there a filter or a jet that might be clogged?? Any help is appreciated.

Hi bvanscoy678,
- there is possibly a filter screen on the pump that you can get at and clean. It sounds like the pump is not pumping enough. try removing the lower arm and cleaning it out also.

Do it Right - Do it once.

Thanks nomind. I ended up cleaning it up and sent a quart of vinager through it. We live in the country and I think the hard water "dirtied it up"

thanks again.

You might want to check your water temperature.
It is best at 130 degrees.
Also how long does it take to get the hot water to the sink.
Run the hot water first to get it to the kitchen sink and then start the dishwasher.

Try that.

Have a good day.
