Replacing a Light in a KitchenAid Microwave

Hello,

The light in the bosses Kitchenaid microwave is burned out and SHE wants it replaced. The buld is right in the center of the ceiling of the microwave.
The bulb is held down with a spring and such that it can be pushed up slightly. It can also turn . I turned and pushed it to see if it has a socket like the tail lights of a trailer but to no avail.

Searching on the web I have not found any details about how to replace it and I don't have a manual (2nd owner) .

Any suggestions or links that I can turn to on how to replace it without a service call ($$). I have read on some web sites that there are microwaves that require a service person to replace the bulb. Hope I am not so lucky.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Best Regards, RB

You might be able to find some help on finding your lamp at this site
http://www.cashwells.com/
This is a good parts company that if yougive the model # then you can see the part and get a better idea of how to take it out.

Given the post is five years old and the OP hasn't been on the board for a year and a half it is best you start your own thread.
