Location of appliance vs efficiency

I'm planning a house and got to thinking about the location of the freezer. My wife said she doesn't care if it's inside or outside.

If the freezer is inside, the AC unit has to compensate for it. On the plus side, the freezer is not exposed to temperature extremes.
If it is on the outside, the freezer will work harder but the AC won't be compensating for it.

We're in Texas, so summer's obviously the problem.
Any opinions, or is it a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul?

Hi WFO ,
If I were in the planning stage as you are, I would likely have an enclosed patio, unaffected by the A/C, yet protected somewhat from extremes of weather, where I would keep the freezer.
However I've found that wives often demonstrate the ulimate futility of logic. LOL

Do it Right - Do it once.
