Refrigerator compressor won't run

The refrigerator compressor won't run. The electric is on, fan in freezor is running. Checked the timer by turning it, compressor still won't turn on. I hear no clicking sounds from the compressor. I don't have a repair manual but need to get one. Can you help?

Wink

You should have a wire schematic on it some where.Use a meter or start jumping things out to see what has it off. Did you check wires on the compressor are they on? Are they hot ? Is tstat working ? Does it have a potential relay out ? How about the capacitor? You have a lot of ifs.

Refrigerator Book

Would you know of a good refrigerator repair book. One that is complete and easy to follow. I will check the wiring diagram.

Hi phil2246,
- I wish there was a good refrigerator DIY book. There doesn't appear to be. Like Ed, I would guess your problem to be in the compressor control area, relay or overload protector.

Do it Right - Do it once.
