GE Oven Indicator Lights

I have a GE Dual Wave II oven model KP68G0k2 circa 1987. The lower bake element had a complete meltdown, burning in two, and arcing into the side wall of the oven. After replacing the bake element, the indicator lights above the Bake Select knob and Temperature Select knob stay on constantly, even in the off position. The oven seems to work properly in all bake setting selections and ramps up to all temperature settings. I just can't figure out why the indicator lights always remain on. Am I looking at an easy solution or is this one of those dreaded circuit board replacements.

Hi lueng,
- open the control console so you can see the switches. If you have square black switches with 5 terminals , then the pilot light terminal is shorted on the one in question. You need a new switch .

Do it Right - do it once.
